{"id":429,"date":"2008-10-01T09:14:27","date_gmt":"2008-10-01T15:14:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bendreth.com\/?p=429"},"modified":"2008-10-01T09:15:17","modified_gmt":"2008-10-01T15:15:17","slug":"in-the-abba-shrine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bendreth.com\/?p=429","title":{"rendered":"In the ABBA shrine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night, Marion and I finally got around to seeing <em>Mamma Mia!<\/em> We&#8217;d seen the Broadway show and enjoyed it, and figured the scenery of the Greek islands would be pretty nice, too.<\/p>\n<p>Marion&#8217;s comment afterward was that the movie was more frenetic than the Broadway production. I agreed &#8211; the larger cast and not being limited to a stage allowed for more activity. I also said I liked the Broadway show&#8217;s disco costumes more &#8230; they were glitzier and less subdued, thus more fun. Of course, it&#8217;s hard for either of them to match up with the costumes in <em>The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert<\/em>, which also features the music of ABBA.<\/p>\n<p>And, speaking of ABBA, and bringing things around to the title of this post, in most shrines, you have worshippers.
