{"id":484,"date":"2009-02-19T10:41:27","date_gmt":"2009-02-19T16:41:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bendreth.com\/?p=484"},"modified":"2009-02-19T10:41:27","modified_gmt":"2009-02-19T16:41:27","slug":"i-am-woman-hear-me-squeak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bendreth.com\/?p=484","title":{"rendered":"I am woman, hear me &#8230; squeak?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The feminist establishment has long been waging a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;client=firefox-a&#038;rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&#038;hs=aiB&#038;q=war+against+men&#038;btnG=Search\">war against men<\/a> (after all, you have to work against an oppressor to become liberated, so men <em>must<\/em> oppressors if women need liberation), but it has now become absurd: Sigmund, Carl, and Alfred note the University of Connecticut police <a href=\"http:\/\/sigmundcarlandalfred.wordpress.com\/2009\/02\/16\/university-pc-gone-wild-be-on-the-lookout-for-a-male-pedestrian\/\">investigating an incident in which a man passed near a woman while walking down the street<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, they were both <em>walking on a public street<\/em>. He passed within a few feet of her, but did not talk to her or make physical contact. What about the incident merits a police report? How does this woman expect to function if mere proximity to a male makes her call for the authorities?<\/p>\n<p>Second, why wasn&#8217;t she laughed off by the authorities? He didn&#8217;t attack her, he didn&#8217;t follow her, he was just another pedestrian on the street.
