I have a number of memory books, also. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.memorista.com\/root\/home\/memo\/en\/\">This site<\/a> is about, and has links to other sites about, mnemonics and memory techniques. It emphasizes the use of mnemonics in learning other languages, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/bendreth.com\/?s=language\">another of my interests<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Update: <a href=\"http:\/\/edge.org\/3rd_culture\/boroditsky09\/boroditsky09_index.html\">This is an interesting report<\/a> whose author claims to have verified the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.angelfire.com\/journal\/worldtour99\/sapirwhorf.html\">Sapir-Whorf hypothesis<\/a>, perhaps even in the strong form, if I read it correctly. The strong form of the hypothesis was the major plot device in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Languages_of_Pao\"><em>The Languages of Pao<\/em><\/a>, by Jack Vance.<\/p>\n<p>Also, this looks like <a href=\"http:\/\/inthelandofinventedlanguages.com\/\">a book I&#8217;d find fascinating<\/a>. I&#8217;ve studied both Esperanto and Loglan (the original and the Lojban varation), and own a couple of Klingon dictionaries, although I&#8217;ve never tried to learn that language.<\/p>\n<p>Updates via <a href=\"http:\/\/lambda-the-ultimate.org\/\">Lambda the Ultimate<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve written about memory before.
