I remember the day the smoke reached Denver; I wrote about the fire on my old website, archived <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20050123024337\/http:\/\/home.earthlink.net\/~swheeler843\/OlderArticles\/OnFirestheTragedyoftheCom.html\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20040724081320\/http:\/\/home.earthlink.net\/~swheeler843\/OlderArticles\/HaymanFollowup.html\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hayman_Fire\">Terry Barton, who started the fire, was sentenced to 12 years in prison, but that sentence was overturned, and she was later sentenced to 15 years of probation<\/a>.
